Al-Badhan VR-360° Walk-Through Project

InterTech collaboration with ARIJ Applied Research Institute to promote the Al-Badhan area resulted in the development of the Al-Badhan Virtual Tour. This interactive VR-360° Application covers a hiking area around the village of AL-Badhan and provides valuable information about the landscape, heritage, and flora diversity of the area.

Mahmoud Darwish VR-360° Project

This project was one of the first VR-360° projects in Palestine. Developed and launched by InterTech in 2014 to bring Mahmoud Darwish Museum closer to local and international audiences and provide a stunning virtual walk-through inside the museum. Various locations were highlighted inside and outside the museum with information tags revealing valuable knowledge about the life and work of the late Mahmoud Darwish.

Church of the Holy Sepulchre VR-360

InterTech continued with this project its collaboration with Musa Afandi Interpretation Center to provide a comprehensive virtual tour inside one of Jerusalem’s holiest places: Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The walk-through tour has 14 stations, each highlighting a monument inside the church. Information hotspots were placed at various points to tell the story and history of the church and its monuments.

Al-Haram Al-Sharif 360

This project was developed for Musa Afandi Interpretation Center in Jerusalem to be the first VR-360° project covering all holy places and monuments in the Al-Haram Al-Sharif area. Through a 360° Virtual Tour the user can roam around and experience the history, culture, and religion of this holy place. 14 monuments in the Al-Haram Al-Sharif area are presented in the application and each monument tells its story and history through the information hotspots placed in and around the monument.

Interactive Mirror

Applying the emerging technology of Augmented Reality InterTech provided a unique experience for the visitors of Musa Afandi Center in the Old City of Jerusalem to see themselves in traditional Palestinian costumes. 3D designed costumes are projected on the screen to fit the user’s measures and size. This experience has been developed to be interactive to give the user the option to choose from a collection of costumes, which includes:

Sanour and Arraba VR

Through high-quality 3D immersive design and animation inside a virtual tour, the users of the VR application will be able to experience firsthand how the palaces were built, used, and now preserved. Various aspects of daily life practices will be highlighted in this experience added to the importance of these areas as prominent historical and cultural sites in the northern parts of the West Bank.

Bab Al-Amoud

Bab Al-Amoud is one of the most known and used gates in the Jerusalem wall. Through an Interactive and Virtual Reality experience, two different eras are highlighted through the history of Bab Al-Amoud Gate and how this gate and the wall evolved and changed through these eras. 3D modeling and animation were layered above a 360° imagery of the gate and Jerusalem wall.

Speak Oh Bird project

Speak Oh Bird project aimed at providing a virtual variation for the impressive exhibition with the same name created and launched by Al Rowat for Studies and Research. The exhibition which focuses on the Palestinian heritage and culture was developed and presented virtually by InterTech to make it possible for audiences to wander around the exhibition and enjoy the magnificent collection of Palestinian heritage artifacts.

Dar Al Consul Water Canal AR

The AR experience covers the water canal which once streamed along the Cardo of the old city of Jerusalem. This project was developed in collaboration with Al Quds University.

Children Rights Coloring Book AR

The project was designed and developed to deliver an engaging, informative and immersive experience using Augmented Reality (AR) to children and youth targeted by Burj Al Luqluq with the general theme of Children Rights in Palestine. The AR coloring book provides the users with a fun experience to color the pages and see their colors come to life in an engaging 3D animation. The final output is available as reading/coloring books in addition to an app for iOS and Android devices.

Beit Rima Wild Plants AR

Beit Rima Interpretation Center is an initiative of The Rozana Association for the Development of Architectural Heritage which aims at promoting sustainable development in rural Palestine.

VR experience for the Palestinian Monetary Authority (PMA)

InterTech had the privilege to develop a new VR experience for the Palestinian Monetary Authority (PMA) for its annual Palestinian Monetary Week 2020. The experience was targeting youth to educate and provide awareness regarding the electronic banking services in Palestine.

Yasser Arafat Museum AR Project

Yasser Arafat Museum aims to present to the people of Palestine and the world, the narrative of the Palestinian National Movement through the life and work of Yasser Arafat, the historic leader of the Palestinian people. InterTech designed and developed an Interactive AR experience for the museums' visitors where prominent Palestinian personalities can be highlighted during the visit.

Jawwal Orientation VR

Jawwal is the first and leading mobile network operator in Palestine with more than 1100 employees. In its effort to provide the best orientation and onboarding experience for its (new) employees, Jawwal assigned InterTech to develop an Interactive Virtual Reality experience.

Syrian Arab Red Cross VR Project

InterTech has designed and developed the VR experience for the Syrian Arab Red Cross (SARC) to be presented at their upcoming events.

Khitan VR-360° Walk-Through Project

In collaboration with UNIDO – Palestine, InterTech developed a virtual 360° Walk-Through for UNIDO’s project KHITAN in the city of Jenin. The VR-360° application was used during the launch of the project which had to happen remotely due to the pandemic. Attendees of the launch could roam around Khitan Center virtually to view the components of the Khitan Center and project.

Cardo Street of Jerusalem

Old City Interactive 3D Printed Model

The highly detailed 3D printed model is an exact replica of the Old City of Jerusalem showing its landscape, streets, monuments, the city wall and its gates. 27 architectural marvels (monuments and buildings) are separated from the base model to enable the visitor to place them in the right place on the model. This will then trigger a screen to show a short video about the selected monument. Various technologies were used to guarantee an amazing interactivity and engagement.

Dar Al Consul Community & Civic Center 3D Projection Project

The project aims at bringing the history of the Old City and its heritage to life to enrich the journey of the visitors through Dar Al Qunsul Center.

Jaba Projection Mapping Project

In collaboration with Rozana Association InterTech created this experience to provide the visitors of Jaba Interpretation Center with an engaging experience during their visit. The projected animated sequences highlight the connection between Jaba and the city of Jerusalem and tell the story of a Palestinian family setting off for a joyful day in Jerusalem and the obstacles the family encounters during the trip.
