The Higher Council for Youth and Sports, PICTI, and InterTech Sign Agreement to Develop a Digital Solution Supporting Youth Participation
Ramallah, June 30, 2025 – As part of the efforts of the Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI) and within its strategic plan aimed at empowering youth and promoting transparency through digital solutions, an agreement was signed to develop an interactive digital solution. The signing took place at the headquarters of the Higher Council for Youth and Sports in Ramallah, under the framework of the project “Youth Tech: for Transparency; From Ideas to Impact,” implemented by PICTI in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP/PAPP), and supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Government of Sweden.
The project represents a practical step in PICTI’s ongoing efforts to expand the use of technology to enhance community engagement and strengthen youth presence in decision-making spaces at the national level.
The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E. Minister Issam Qaddoumi, Secretary General of the Higher Council for Youth and Sports; Mr. Tamer Baransi, Chairman of the Board at PICTI; Mr. Ala Alaeddin, CEO of InterTech; and Mr. Munther Masalmeh, Undersecretary of the Higher Council for Youth and Sports, along with representatives from UNDP/PAPP and all project partners.
The digital solution aims to enhance communication channels between youth and relevant institutions and to provide accurate data to support the development of more effective and inclusive youth policies. This solution is expected to represent a qualitative leap in how youth engage with national programs and public initiatives.
The project reflects an integrated model of collaboration between the public sector, private sector, civil society, and international institutions, contributing to the advancement of digital governance and reinforcing the principles of transparency and innovation in Palestine.
