InterTech Showcases Jericho VR Experience at Official Launch of Municipality’s E-Services

Jericho, June 2025 – Under the patronage of the Minister of Local Government, Jericho Municipality hosted a special ceremony to officially launch its new digital services platform, marking a significant step forward in enhancing municipal service delivery, transparency, and citizen engagement.

The initiative currently includes 72 municipal services, with 30 now available online, and a roadmap to digitize 60 services by the end of 2025 and achieve 95% digitization by mid-2026. This ambitious transformation aims to create a more efficient, accessible, and responsive local government framework for the residents of Jericho.

As part of its ongoing commitment to digital transformation and smart tourism, InterTech proudly participated in the launch event. The company showcased its Virtual Reality (VR) project for the city of Jericho, providing attendees with an immersive virtual tour of the city’s iconic historical and cultural landmarks. The demonstration highlighted how immersive technology can enrich tourism experiences, preserve Palestinian heritage, and support innovative storytelling.

“Through the Jericho VR experience, we aim to bridge the past and the future—connecting visitors with the city’s heritage in a way that is both educational and deeply engaging,” said Ala Alaeddin, CEO of InterTech.

The event also featured presentations on the municipality’s new digital applications, including an electronic services portal, online payment system (e-sadad), and a dedicated tourism app—all developed to provide a seamless and secure digital environment for local citizens and visitors alike.

InterTech’s contribution to the event reaffirmed its leadership in advancing immersive technologies in the public sector and its role in shaping a more connected and innovative Palestine.
